Speaker: Tim Becker
Topic: Overcoming a Bad Day, with Resiliency

Tim Becker is the husband of a police officer, and father of three adult sons.  Tim and his wife reside in Central Ohio with two dogs and too many cats, but prefers lakes and mountains to corn and bean fields.

Tim works part-time as the Director of Public Safety for the city of Gahanna and dabbles as an independent consultant.  Tim serves on the advisory board of the Starfish Assignment Charity, which has a mission of bringing the Police and the Community closer together.

Tim retired from the Columbus Division of Police in 2023, where he served for more than 34 years, the last fourteen as a Deputy Chief.  During his time at CPD, Tim had the opportunity to oversee nearly all components of the 2,200-person organization, which may qualify him as a Jack of All Trades, Master of None.

Tim also completed numerous long term police leadership schools, including the FBI National Academy, and the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command.  Tim loves to learn and always learns something new when he interacts with the wonderful members of ASIS.
